At Tracerco, long-term customer success is built on deep technical expertise, strong relationships, and people who truly understand the industries we serve. Few embody this better than Andy Burleigh, Senior Technical Advisor in our Process Diagnostics business, whose career reflects both Tracerco’s commitment to customers and its strength as a place to build a lasting career.

Based in the USA, Andy plays a key role in leading commercial activities across the Southeast Region, working closely with customers and operational teams to expand Tracerco’s footprint and deliver practical, results-driven solutions. A man of few words, Andy sums it up simply: building relationships, understanding customers, and helping Tracerco grow. In reality, his impact stretches much further.

A career built on field experience and downstream expertise

Andy’s Tracerco journey began in 2000 as a Project Specialist supporting customers across the Great Lakes Region. From there, he returned home to the Southeast, progressing through a range of field and leadership roles including Field Technician and Project Coordinator, where he led projects and delivered results on the ground.

In 2006, Andy stepped into the Technical Advisor role for the Southeast Region, continuing to evolve through several commercial positions to where he is today, building extensive experience in the downstream industry and supporting refining, petrochemical, and gas processing facilities with the insights needed to make critical decisions, from troubleshooting production challenges to optimising plant performance.

Behind every solution is preparation and people

What might surprise people about Andy’s role is how much work happens behind the scenes. Success doesn’t come from chance. It comes from deep research, understanding customer needs, tracking market conditions, and putting in the effort long before a solution is delivered. That preparation pays off, making customer interactions not just productive, but genuinely enjoyable.

For Andy, the best part of the job is clear. Helping customers solve problems at their facilities and making their work easier is what motivates him every day. Strong communication, relationship building and knowing when to listen more than you talk are the skills he values most, and the advice he offers to anyone considering a similar career path.

When asked about favourite memories, Andy doesn’t point to a single moment. Instead, he reflects on the time spent alongside colleagues, working towards shared goals and supporting customers together. After more than two decades at Tracerco, he describes himself as fortunate to have worked with incredible people throughout his career.

Life beyond work

Outside of work, Andy is a proud sports fan, a night owl, a Diet Coke or Dr Pepper loyalist, and the owner of both a dog and a cat. His hidden talent? Ear-wiggling, once a hit with his kids, now met with far less enthusiasm. His favourite travel destination so far is Buenos Aires, though next time he hopes for more sightseeing than meetings.

Andy’s story is a reminder of what’s possible at Tracerco. A place where careers can span decades, where people are supported to grow, and where collaboration, curiosity and customer focus are at the heart of everything we do.
