Since developing Discovery™ for external inspection of subsea pipelines, detecting asset integrity and flow assurance issues without the need to remove coatings, we are now looking at how we take this ground breaking service even further. Having conducted several successful deployments, one topic raised by our existing customers; can you screen a pipeline faster, to help us identify areas for closer examination with Discovery™?

In terms of flow assurance the answer is yes, we already have a screening technology which can identify hot spots for further investigation. You can find out more by reading this blog post.

For asset integrity we currently have a few ideas on what could work in a similar way, fast screening many kilometres of pipeline through coatings, identifying hot spots for further investigation, but as yet we have not commenced development.

We are looking for industry feedback on what the appetite is for this type of technology.
