When Jordan Crawford first stepped into Tracerco, it was meant to be temporary. Thirteen years later, she’s a cornerstone of the Diagnostic Services team, proving that great opportunities often begin with a simple “why not?”
As Project Resource Manager based in the UK, Jordan plays a pivotal role in Tracerco’s global operations.
“I’m the person responsible for sending our field staff across the globe to carry out projects, then make sure we get paid for it,” she explains with a smile.
It’s a role that demands agility, precision, and a knack for solving logistical puzzles, skills Jordan has honed over years of experience.
A career built on opportunity
Jordan’s journey began in the finance department at Johnson Matthey.
A chance to cover a maternity leave at Tracerco led her to the company “down the road,” and she never looked back.
“I came in on a 12-month contract and here I am 13 years later!” she says.
Her story is a testament to Tracerco’s culture of growth, where temporary roles can evolve into long-term careers.
The thrill of the unexpected
What Jordan loves most about her job is the unpredictability.
“No day is the same… due to the nature of diagnostics we can be required at the other side of the world at the drop of a hat, and it’s my job to make that happen.”
Whether it’s coordinating international travel or managing complex project logistics, Jordan thrives on the daily challenges.
She likens her operations planning to a game of Tetris, “which I now class as a skill since I play every single day.”
Multitasking, organising, and negotiating are all part of her toolkit, and she encourages others to embrace the unknown.
“Take every opportunity that you can, learn new things and don’t be afraid to step out of your comfort zone.”
Life beyond the office
Outside of work, Jordan is now enjoying newlywed life and being a proud parent. Her favourite travel destination is Bali, and go-to karaoke song? Kenny Rogers’ The Gambler. She’s an early bird, a coffee lover, and a dog person through and through.
When asked who she’d swap jobs with for a day, Jordan doesn’t hesitate:
“My son’s school teacher, so I could spy on him!”
Why Tracerco?
Jordan’s story reflects what makes Tracerco a great place to work: opportunity, variety, and a supportive environment where people can grow.
“Having the privilege of working with Andy Gullon for my first five years at Tracerco” remains one of her fondest memories, a reminder of the strong relationships and mentorship that define the company culture.
