Hamdan’s journey with Tracerco began in 2002 when he joined Tracerco Asia, bringing with him years of experience from ICI and Air Products, where he navigated complex plant operations and even project-managed a Hydrogen Plant construction from design through to commissioning.
In 2010, he embraced a new challenge, relocating to the UAE to further develop Tracerco’s presence in the Middle East. However, as 2026 dawns, Hamdan finds himself once again in Asia.
“In my role, I’m constantly identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with customers, and developing strategies for growth. It’s challenging, exciting, sometimes stressful, but immensely rewarding,” says Hamdan. “The best part is that every day is different. You never stop learning, and every success, like securing an order, feels like a personal victory.”
Hamdan’s role demands a unique mix of technical expertise, business acumen, and people management skills. He emphasises the importance of patience, continuous learning, and enjoying what you do, a philosophy that reflects Tracerco’s broader culture of growth, curiosity, and collaboration.
Beyond the professional sphere, Hamdan is known for his hidden talent: singing (though only in private!). He is an early bird, a fan of both tea with honey and café lattes, and a lover of travel, with Istanbul holding a special place in his heart for its ambience and cuisine. His favourite inspiration for teamwork and loyalty? The film Hachi: A Dog’s Tale.
